I am currently the Director of AI at Yembo, the leader in AI-powered virtual inspections. Previously, I was part of Geomagical Labs, where I helped to build their augmented reality tool for interior decoration and which has since been acquired by Ikea. I also spent time at Zillow working with the team that developed Zillow 3D Home.
I completed my PhD in computer science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2020, where I was advised by Dr. Jan-Michael Frahm. My research focused primarily on computer vision problems involving 360° imaging and indoor 3D reconstruction. Before this, I received an MS in electrical engineering from Boston University and a BA in history and Islamic & Middle Eastern Studies from Brandeis University.
This is a workshop I co-organized that focused on both omnidirectional vision research and its application in real consumer products
